About the Role
As our Contracts Support Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Property Maintenance Contracts Management team, helping to drive continuous improvement, supplier performance, cost control, and operational excellence across our maintenance contracts. You'll use data, insight, and stakeholder collaboration to identify opportunities, implement improvements, and ensure our suppliers deliver against agreed standards and contractual commitments.
This is a role for someone who enjoys turning data into action, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable improvements. You'll work across multiple business functions, balancing commercial awareness with operational delivery to support the ongoing success and performance of our maintenance contracts.
You will be responsible for
- Supporting the Contracts Management team in overseeing maintenance contract performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collating and analysing data from supplier KPI reviews to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve internal workflows, systems, and reporting.
- Supporting Contracts Managers with KPI performance analysis and recommendations for performance improvement.
- Benchmarking supplier KPIs and SLA performance, proposing and implementing improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Driving improvements in supplier performance metrics through effective monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
- Conducting quality assurance reviews of contractor work and service delivery.
- Performing cost audits of contractor delivery to ensure work is completed within scope and billed in line with agreed rates and contractual commitments.
- Leading field engagement activities and producing performance summaries for key stakeholders.
- Providing financial forecasting, spend analysis, and budget insights to support contract management decisions.
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date contract document repository.
- Managing supplier tendering plans in collaboration with Procurement teams.
- Representing the Contracts team as a subject matter expert within key change and transformation projects.
- Ensuring contracted suppliers maintain the appropriate accreditations and comply with Tesco Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Building strong relationships across Procurement, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Systems, Analytics, Regional Maintenance teams, and external suppliers to drive successful outcomes.

You will need
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and build effective relationships across multiple business functions.
- Experience analysing complex data and translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Change management and continuous improvement experience.
- Project management capability and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Risk management and strategic thinking skills.
- Negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex budgets and financial forecasting.
- Contract management experience.
- Procurement knowledge and commercial awareness.
- Experience within maintenance, engineering, retail, or a related operational environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
