Are you passionate about SDLC governance, deployment controls, compliance, and software delivery excellence? We're looking for a Control Analyst to join our team and help strengthen software delivery governance while ensuring compliance across Agile and DevOps environments.

Job Title: Control Analyst – SDLC & Deployment Controls

Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid)

Job Type: Subcontract - Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and delivery teams in adopting SDLC and Deployment Control processes.
  • Drive compliance with SDLC governance and deployment best practices.
  • Conduct control reviews and spot checks across software changes and applications.
  • Track remediation actions, ownership, and closure of control findings.
  • Prepare audit-ready evidence including testing records, approvals, and change documentation.
  • Monitor compliance, DevOps KPIs, and software delivery performance metrics.
  • Analyze trends, identify control gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare governance reports, compliance dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and user guidance.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and governance discussions.
  • Improve workflows and documentation to simplify compliance for delivery teams.
  • Support audit readiness and ensure adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in roles such as Control Analyst, Change Analyst, Business Analyst, Test Analyst, or similar within Agile software delivery environments.
  • Experience preparing and presenting evidence for audit, governance, or compliance activities.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, change management, and deployment governance.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar change management platforms.
  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (or similar process mapping tools).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
