Control Centre Operations Analyst

Location: Ardley, Oxfordshire (Valencia Control Centre)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights (24/7 operation)

About Valencia Energy

Valencia Energy is a growing energy and infrastructure business operating power generation, renewable energy, and critical infrastructure assets across the UK. Our 24/7 Control Centre monitors and optimises operational assets while providing dedicated support services to data centre clients, including alarm monitoring, incident management, security oversight, and operational coordination.

The Role

We're looking for a proactive Control Centre Operations Analyst to join our 24/7 operations team. You will monitor and manage power generation assets and data centre operations, responding to alarms, coordinating incidents, supporting engineers, and ensuring high levels of asset performance, safety, and customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in control room, utilities, critical infrastructure, NOC, SOC, or operational monitoring environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor and control operational assets using SCADA and related systems.
  • Respond to alarms, faults, and operational incidents in real time.
  • Coordinate call-outs and support field engineering teams.
  • Monitor data centre alarms, performance KPIs, and environmental conditions.
  • Manage access control, CCTV, and security-related incidents.
  • Provide incident coordination and escalation across operational and customer environments.

Service & Incident Management

  • Manage and triage tickets through Halo and other operational systems.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide timely incident updates, communications, and escalations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, site teams, security providers, and third parties.

Performance & Reporting

  • Support asset optimisation, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and incident records.
  • Produce operational reports and performance information.
  • Support planning, compliance, and safety activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT and systems literacy.
  • Experience using SCADA, CMMS, monitoring platforms, or similar operational systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a real-time operational environment.
  • Proactive approach with sound judgement and escalation awareness.

Desirable

  • Experience in power generation, utilities, critical infrastructure, data centres, NOC/SOC, or other 24/7 operations.
  • Knowledge of alarm monitoring, incident management, or access control systems.
  • Experience with CCTV, security monitoring, or access management platforms.
  • IOSH or similar health & safety qualification.
  • Experience with operational reporting and data analysis.
