Control Engineer – HV/EHV Networks up to 132kV – Hybrid – Monday to Friday + On-Call Rota
Our client is searching for a Control Engineer to support its UK distribution networks.
Responsibilities:
- Controlling networks up to 132kV safely under Distribution Safety Rules.
- Reviewing and consenting switching schedules and safety documents, including PTWs, SFTs and LOAs.
- Monitoring SCADA, responding to alarms and coordinating fault response.
- Managing approval to energise new networks.
- Reviewing RAMS and maintaining operational diagrams and records.
- Coordinating cross-boundary activities with DNOs, transmission operators and customers, including RISSPs.
- Supporting incident management through the on-call rota.
- Carrying out remote-end SCADA commissioning.

Experience:
- Electrical distribution, transmission or renewables background.
- HV/EHV operational experience at AP or SAP level.
- Relevant engineering qualification: degree, HNC or HND.
- Strong knowledge of safety rules and Safe Systems of Work.
- Understanding of the UK Distribution Code and Grid Code.
- Full UK driving licence.

Role details:
- Day rate, outside IR35
- Full time, Monday to Friday.
- Home based, with site and office attendance as required.
- Participation in an on-call rota.
