Substation Design Engineer – UK Distribution Projects
Experts Group International are supporting a leading EPC contractor delivering UK electricity distribution projects and are looking for experienced Protection & Control Engineers / Substation Engineers to support HV substation design and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver secondary design for HV distribution substations (11kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV).
- Produce and review:
- Protection & Control Schematics
- Wiring Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Termination Drawings
- SLDs and GA Drawings
- Support protection, SCADA and substation control system design.
- Review technical documentation and vendor submissions.
- Provide engineering support through installation, testing and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with DNO standards and IEC requirements.

Requirements
- Experience as a Protection & Control Engineer, Secondary Design Engineer or Substation Engineer.
- Strong HV substation secondary systems experience.
- Experience with protection relays, SCADA interfaces and control systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN.
- Experience working on UK distribution projects.
- Previous experience with UKPN and/or SSEN projects is highly desirable.
- Experience within EPC, ICP or DNO environments preferred.
