City & Guilds is seeking Moderators to support the quality assurance of our T Level qualifications for the upcoming academic year.
About the Role
This Associate role allows you to work alongside your existing career, earn additional income through competitive rates, and further develop your professional skills and knowledge.
As a Moderator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of assessments, helping to ensure learners achieve industry-recognised qualifications that support their future success. The Role Profile outlines the expectations of the Moderator role.

As a Moderator, you will:
- Review and moderate centre marking activities, ensuring assessments are conducted fairly, accurately and in line with City & Guilds quality assurance requirements.
- Produce detailed moderation reports and provide constructive feedback on assessment practice, quality of marking, evidence collection and areas for improvement.
- Identify and share best practice to support continuous quality enhancement across centres.
- Participate in training, standardisation and quality assurance activities to maintain consistency and excellence in moderation practice.

Key Dates
To undertake this role, you will be required to confirm your availability for the following date/s:
Standardisation
Remote
- 17th May 2027 - 4th June 2027
Training
Spring 2027
These dates will be confirmed in the Autumn.
There will be x2 full dates of standardisation meetings. Moderators will have 10 working days following the final standardisation date to complete all remote moderation activities.
