The Control Panel Wireman is a full-time, on-site role based in Trafford Park, Manchester, responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical control panels for a range of industrial and engineering applications. Day-to-day activities include:

- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Routing and terminating cables
- Ensuring all panel wiring meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
The role involves working closely with engineers and other technicians to:
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Support panel modifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of build processes
The Control Panel Wireman will also:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow established health and safety procedures
- Document work completed for quality assurance and project tracking
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to apply this understanding in practical, hands-on environments.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and cabling, including routing, terminating, and labeling cables in accordance with schematics and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in panel wiring, including assembling and wiring control panels for industrial or engineering applications.
- Basic understanding of electronics, components, and their integration within control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience in a similar electrical assembly, control panel, or industrial wiring role, ideally within engineering or manufacturing settings.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in electrical engineering, installation, or a closely related field is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
