Control Room Analyst
Insight Global is looking for a Control Room Analyst to assist in playing a pivotal role in monitoring market activity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The majority of the day—around 70%—is spent reviewing and responding to real-time alerts generated by the platform, typically 20–50 alerts daily depending on market volatility. Each alert requires quick analysis of large datasets using SQL and Python to validate positions, assess risk, and confirm adherence to disclosure of interest, wall crossing, and position limit rules. The remaining 30% of the role focuses on driving the platform forward: collaborating with the technical lead and engineering team to maintain and enhance scripts, streamline workflows, and propose high-level improvements to internal tooling such as position and concentration reporting. This is a hands-on, technical role that blends regulatory expertise with data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
