Control Room Operations Coordinator

Hours of Work: 48 hours per week, Thursday–Sunday nights, 19:00–07:00

Salary: To be discussed at interview

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and confident Control Room Operations Coordinator to oversee and support security operations across multiple sites. Based within a fast-paced control room environment, you will play a key role in ensuring full operational coverage, coordinating staff deployment, responding to incidents, and maintaining high service standards at all times.

This is a critical operational role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can make sound decisions quickly, and has strong logistical, organisational and communication skills.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across security, retail, CCTV, alarm monitoring, facilities, logistics, workforce coordination, or other fast-paced operational environments. Previous control room experience is advantageous, but transferable experience and the right attitude are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily control room operations across multiple sites
  • Manage and plan staffing levels, ensuring full shift coverage at all times
  • Cover unfilled shifts, absences, and urgent operational requirements
  • Respond effectively to unplanned staffing or operational issues
  • Monitor booking on/off procedures, check calls, CCTV, mobile patrols, and alarm activations
  • Log, manage, and escalate incidents in line with company procedures
  • Produce accurate operational reports and maintain detailed records
  • Liaise professionally with on-site teams, senior management, clients, and external partners
  • Conduct structured shift handovers to maintain operational continuity
  • Support vehicle coordination, key holding, and equipment management
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to operational alerts, incidents and requests
  • Ensure relevant information is accurately recorded and communicated to the appropriate personnel

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
