Security Control Room Supervisor
Permanent
Location: London
Hours: Full time, 42 hours a week, 4 on, 4 off, days 07:00 - 19:00 and nights 19:00 - 07:00
Pay: £15.92 ph
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Control Room Supervisor to join our team at one of our clients in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional with strong leadership, CCTV, and incident management experience to play a key role in safeguarding one of the UK's most iconic cultural institutions.
As the Security Control Room Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership within a 24-hour security environment, overseeing control room operations, managing incidents, coordinating security resources, and ensuring the safety of visitors, staff, contractors, collections, and assets.
About The Role
- Supervise and lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring all duties are carried out in line with site procedures and operational standards.
- Manage daily staff deployment, patrol schedules, static posts, and break rotations to maintain effective site coverage.
- Monitor CCTV systems to prevent and detect crime, incidents, and security breaches.
- Respond to fire alarms, panic alarms, access control alerts, and other security system activations.
- Lead and coordinate responses to incidents including medical emergencies, lost children, evacuations, and security breaches.
- Maintain accurate control room records, incident logs, Daily Occurrence Books, and Situation Reports.
- Manage the issue, tracking, and auditing of keys, fobs, and controlled assets through key management systems.
- Verify contractor permits and oversee access control processes across the site.
- Coordinate staffing levels, cover absences, support rota management, and ensure effective shift handovers.
- Conduct system checks, monitor site faults, liaise with contractors, and ensure operational compliance across all security systems.

What We Are Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
- Current First Aid at Work qualification.
- Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a security control room environment.
- Strong CCTV monitoring and incident management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate reports.
- Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make effective decisions during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering a professional visitor experience.
- Competent IT skills, including experience using reporting, communication, and security management systems.
- Reliable, professional, and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
