The ideal candidate will come from a DNO, IDNO, ICP or wider electricity distribution environment, with previous experience in network control, control room operations, switching or real-time network management.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DNO network professional looking to move into a growing organisation and play a key role in developing its operational capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and operational status using SCADA and other network management systems.
  • Coordinate planned switching activities and network outages.
  • Support the safe and effective operation of LV, HV and EHV network assets.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks, network abnormalities and faults.
  • Maintain accurate control logs, switching schedules and operational records.

Fault Response & Restoration

  • Receive and manage reports of network faults and incidents.
  • Coordinate contractor attendance and fault response activities.
  • Monitor restoration progress and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support rapid restoration of customer supplies and minimise network interruptions.
  • Assist with post-fault investigations and incident reviews.
  • Support emergency response activities during major network incidents.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
