ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT & JOB PURPOSE
At INEOS Energy we produce and trade oil, gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and carbon credits. This is supported by our investments in low carbon technologies, which will help sustain our business through the energy transition. Direct examples of these areas are ‘Project Greensand’, our pioneering carbon storage project in the Danish North Sea and our investment in HydrogenOne Capital.
INEOS Energy is the owner of several interests in the UK North Sea, with production from INEOS-operated Breagh and Clipper South. UK operations are managed directly by in-house support and offshore crew members.
We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to form an integral part of the operations team supporting operated assets both on and offshore. The role will report into Operations Asset Manager – Pegasus.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Promote, through ownership and participation, the INEOS 20 principles and auditing in all aspects of production and operations
- Ensure compliance with the relevant control, systems and cyber related INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs) and industry standards & regulations
- Responsible for the design, configuration, testing, installation and commissioning of DCS / SCADA/ PLC and SIS systems
- Provide support and troubleshooting for DCS / SCADA / PLC and SIS systems
- Provide support and troubleshooting for telecoms equipment pertaining to the OT network
- Responsible for the production and modifications of control systems documentation pertaining to the life cycle of the systems
- Deliver control system modifications in both technical compliance and quality
- Execute both onshore and offshore control systems operations and projects
- Implement, maintain and monitor Operational Technology cyber security in-line with INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs) and industry standards & regulations
- Supplementary duties as required to support other assets and the wider INEOS Energy

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Strong working knowledge and experience of industrial control and telecoms systems
- Previous experience in a control systems engineering role within the oil & gas industry
- Relevant experience in configuration, implementation, support and modification including Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
- Preferred experience:
- Honeywell Experion PKS
- Schneider Electric Triconex
- Industrial Networks (Ethernet, Modbus, OPC)
- Windows OS, security and networking
- Operational Technology cyber security

This role is based onsite at our Norwich office predominantly. Travel to offshore assets and the London offices will be required.
