Control Systems Engineer

An opportunity to work on advanced control systems for complex electromechanical, optical, aerospace and robotic applications, within a growing and highly technical engineering team.

The role spans control algorithms, modelling, simulation and system testing, with the opportunity to work through the full development lifecycle — from system requirements and control concepts through to implementation, HIL simulation and verification.

The role includes:

  • Designing, modelling and testing control algorithms for dynamic systems
  • Developing and maintaining real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations
  • Translating system-level requirements into control requirements and verification activities
  • Carrying out trade-off analysis across control concepts, components and system architectures
  • Supporting the software implementation and verification of control algorithms
  • Maintaining pointing budgets and assessing system-level performance
  • Using simulation and test data to investigate and resolve complex system behaviour
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and integrate control solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
