What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Contributing to the design and development of control systems using industry-standard platforms and tools
- Translating technical specifications and operational requirements into effective control solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with manufacturing, infrastructure or automation environments
- Testing, validating and troubleshooting control system functionality to ensure performance and compliance
- Documenting designs, configurations and system behaviour in line with ISO 9001 and relevant technical standards
- Supporting deployment and commissioning of control systems in operational environments
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of control system practices
- Working with APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture where applicable to modern control infrastructure

What You Could Bring
Must-have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience developing or configuring control systems in industrial, manufacturing or automation environments
- Proficiency with control system design tools, PLCs, SCADA systems or equivalent automation platforms
- Working knowledge of system integration, testing methodologies and technical documentation standards
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and system reliability
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of data pipelines, CI/CD practices or distributed systems
- Familiarity with BPMN, UML or systems modelling approaches
- Experience integrating control systems with modern software architectures or microservices
- Relevant safety certifications (SMSTS, First Aid, HV qualifications)
