Control Systems Project Manager

Rotherham | Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Control Systems Engineer ready to move into project management? Do you enjoy taking ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning? Would you like to combine your technical expertise with customer and project leadership responsibilities?

What will you be doing?

  • Managing the full lifecycle delivery of control and automation projects
  • Leading projects involving PLC, SCADA and integrated control systems
  • Managing project scope, budgets, schedules and commercial performance
  • Coordinating engineering resources and supporting multidisciplinary project teams
  • Building strong relationships with customers and managing expectations throughout project delivery
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Supporting commissioning activities and managing project close-out activities

Where you'll be doing it

You'll be joining a specialist systems integration business that delivers software, hardware and turnkey automation solutions to a range of blue-chip industrial clients. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their project delivery team and are looking for someone who can combine technical control systems knowledge with strong project leadership skills.

What you'll need

  • Previous experience as a Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer or SCADA Engineer with a strong understanding of PLC and SCADA systems
  • Experience delivering industrial automation projects within sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, energy, process industries or infrastructure
  • Previous project management experience, either in a dedicated Project Manager role or as a Lead or Senior Engineer managing projects
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, scope and change control
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering successful project outcomes
