Job Description

Location: Arvato East Midlands

Salary: £30,293.62 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Fully onsite

Join Arvato as a Control Tower Operator

Are you organised, analytical and confident working in a fast-paced logistics environment? Arvato is looking for a Control Tower Operator to join our East Midlands team and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

As a Control Tower Operator, you’ll act as a central point of coordination, monitoring operational activity, identifying issues and working with colleagues across the operation to ensure service levels and customer requirements are consistently achieved.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitor daily operational activity and performance across the site.
  • Coordinate and prioritise workflows to support the smooth running of the operation.
  • Identify operational issues, delays and exceptions and take appropriate action.
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport, planning and management teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational data, highlighting trends and areas requiring attention.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide clear and timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of operational problems.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a logistics, warehouse, transport, supply chain or control tower environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other operational systems.
  • The ability to analyse information and identify issues quickly.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • A calm and professional approach when working under pressure.
  • The confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
