Job Description

Salary: £29,029.56

Location: East Midlands Gateway

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Arvato, a leading provider of logistics and supply chain management services, is seeking a dedicated control tower operator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient order processing, internal flow of goods, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).   • Plan, monitor, and control order processing and internal flow of goods to ensure on-time shipment completion and compliance with specified SLAs/KPIs
  • Independently identify and resolve problems, initiate appropriate measures, and communicate with specialist departments and management
  • Execute key performance indicator reports, conduct system research, and assist in capacity planning
  • Conduct ABC analyses and organize pick faces for efficient warehouse operations
  • Support and implement projects related to logistics and warehouse management
  • Serve as the primary contact person and support for departments, account/operations management, and Armada support
  • Provide SAP first-level IT support
  • Conduct inventories, stock counts, checks, and postings accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

  • Strong solution orientation with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment and familiarity with logistics/transport processes
  • Proficiency in SAP system (WMS) and experience in using JIRA (desirable)
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, with excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and other relevant computer applications
  • Excellent attention to detail with good numerical skills and record-keeping abilities
  • Proactive and initiative-driven approach to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to organizational values and behaviors
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take corrective action
