Job Description

Warehouse Operations Leader- Control Tower

Salary: £34,068.06
Location: East Midlands
Hours: Monday to Friday

Overview of the role

At Arvato our Control Tower is the heart of our daily operational function holding all stock data and location information thought the business. We are seeking an Operations Leader to oversee daily operations of the distribution centre’s control tower, ensuring end-to-end visibility, coordination and resolution of supply chain issues. This role is pivotal in maintaining service level agreements (SLAs), driving efficiency and ensuring the timely flow of goods across the network. This is an analytical role leading a small team of SAP Key users and Operators within the Control Tower.

Your Tasks

  • Act as a central point of contact for issue escalation and resolution across warehouse and customer service teams.
  • Supervise and support the control tower team to monitor daily distribution operations plus train, mentor and evaluate the performance of the control tower staff.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively resolve inbound / outbound issues or delays.
  • Analyse and evaluate data to make operational improvements.
  • Steering, coordinating, and implementing processes as well as planning the daily business activities.
  • Participating in resource planning (staff and infrastructure)
  • Identifying issues or problems and initiating corrective measures and success control

Qualifications

  • Proficient with WMS SAP system - essential
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution centre operations
  • Strong supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
