At Central Alliance (Part of the RSK Group) We have a unique opportunity for a Site Supervisor (Rail) to join our team in Wakefield, UK.
The Role
As Site Supervisor - Rail you are to ensure personnel under your direct supervision have:
- Safe access to track and track infrastructure.
- Abide by Network Rail’s NR019 Standard, policies and procedures,
- Abide by RSK & Central Alliance’s standards, policies and procedures, and,
- Get home safely.
Accountabilities
- Deliver safe, high quality and cost-effective rail supervision, supporting Central Alliance’s operational departments to deliver projects to clients, as per details in project scopes and as per Network Rail’s safety and operating procedures.
- Comply with Central Alliance and RSK processes and procedures, plus those of Network Rail, to facilitate safe delivery of rail works.
- Analyse performance to work plans / projects, keeping Manager informed of foreseeable risks or impediments to delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the rail team and when working on site, to lift the efficiency and effectiveness of the work outputs, improve safety and to generate repeat work.
- Contribute to a values-based culture by demonstrating behaviours aligned to RSK and Central Alliance Values, encouraging others to do the same.
- Promote a safe work environment, implement and deliver compliance with SHEQ plans

About You
People are at the heart of our business. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you are / have:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Clean, manual driving licence.
- 3-day First Aid at Work.
- Trained, competent and certified in Controller of Site Safety (COSS).
- Trained, competent, and certified in Personal Track Safety (PTS) AC/DC.
- Knowledge of the On-Trac/E-PIC system (essential).
- Computer Literate (essential).
- Trained, competent and certified in Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) (desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of Network Rail’s NR019 Standard.
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments / H&S Plans and Work Plan Packages.
- Able to read plans and deliver to specifications.
