Controls Engineer (Progression to Systems Engineer)

£42,000 - £47,500 (OTE 65K) + 7K Car Allowance + Bonus + Training + Progression + Healthcare + 12% Pension

Are you a Controls Engineer with PLC Programming and Configuration experience looking for the opportunity to progress and become a Systems Engineer, offering responsibility over complex projects and structured training to become a Distributed Control Systems expert? Do you want to work for a global OEM with a reputation for building the safest and most redundant integrated systems on the planet? In this role you will trained on the programming and configuration of bespoke distributed control systems used in the automation of industrial processes through the manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, energy and oil & gas industries. Occasionally, perhaps once a month, you will go on-site to assist in the commissioning of the systems. This could be on off-shore Rigs or throughout the UK, with overtime and bonuses paid for your hard work.

This role would suit a Controls Engineer who can programme and configure PLC's, RTU's SCADA or similar from scratch looking for the opportunity to progress and advance their career through structured training to become an expert Systems Engineer.

The Role:

  • Programming and Configuring distributed control systems used for industrial automation
  • Training on DCS Programming & Configuration
  • Managing complex projects and acting as the face of the business
  • Flexible hybrid working with upto 3 days at home per week
  • Flexible hours - option to work a compressed fortnight and have every other Friday off
  • Travelling nationally and off-shore to sites to assist with commissioning of new equipment, up to one week per month

The Person:

  • Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
  • PLC, RTU or SCADA Programming and Configuration experience
  • Willing to travel nationally and work away 1 week per month
