What You Will Do

As the Controls Sales Operations Manager, you will lead the development, implementation and optimisation of sales operations processes, systems and commercial excellence initiatives across the Controls business. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and Business Leaders, you will drive sales productivity, enhance data quality, improve forecasting accuracy and support sustainable growth through effective use of technology, reporting and governance frameworks.

This is a hybrid role with regular collaboration across regional and global teams.

How You Will Do It

  • Lead sales operations activities that support commercial performance, order growth and sales productivity within the Controls business.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for sales processes, CRM and supporting commercial technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Salesforce, CPQ and associated sales tools to enhance user adoption and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain governance models, approval processes and operational standards across the sales organisation.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Business Leaders to improve lead management, campaign tracking and demand generation processes.
  • Own commercial reporting, dashboards and KPI development to provide actionable business insights.
  • Support forecasting, pipeline management and sales performance reviews.
  • Coordinate system enhancements, user acceptance testing and deployment activities with IT and global teams.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, compliance and process adherence across CRM platforms.
  • Analyse sales performance trends and identify opportunities to improve commercial execution and customer engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to maximise business value from commercial systems.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Degree qualified or equivalent business experience.
  • Significant experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations or Business Excellence roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM and sales process management.
  • Experience developing sales performance reporting, dashboards and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvements and technology adoption initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting tool knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.

Beneficial

  • Experience within Building Controls, Building Technologies, HVAC, Fire, Security or related industries.
  • Knowledge of CPQ platforms and commercial pricing processes.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or CRM deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with lead generation, campaign management and marketing automation tools.
  • Salesforce Administrator or related CRM certification.
  • Experience working within a regional or global matrix organisation.
