Position Summary

The Controls Technician Level II installs, programs, and troubleshoots building automation systems that control HVAC and related mechanical equipment. This role bridges mechanical systems and software platforms, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and according to sequence of operations. The technician works independently on moderately complex tasks and supports system optimization efforts.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and control wiring.
  • Working knowledge of BAS/BMS platforms and programming logic.
  • Experience integrating systems using BACnet, Modbus, or similar protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex technical issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency using laptops, diagnostic software, and testing equipment.
  • Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys is a plus.

Salary Range: Minimum $20.93/hour - Maximum $33.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
