Conversion & Experimentation Manager
Location: Manchester City Centre
Who We Are
Join our team of passionate Zutonites and help transform the car finance experience with simplicity and integrity.
Since our journey began in 2006, we’ve grown to a team of over 550 people — all driven by a shared purpose: to make buying a car transparent and hassle-free.
We know how important cars are in people’s everyday lives — for work, family and freedom — and that’s why we’re proud to help hundreds of thousands of customers every year. From day one, we’ve been redefining what success looks like, creating something special at Zuto: a business that leaves a lasting, positive legacy.
If you’re looking for an engineering environment where you can genuinely own problems, challenge existing approaches and help shape how we build technology, you’ll fit right in. We’re transforming our architecture and embracing AI-assisted development, giving our engineers the freedom and tools to move quickly, experiment and build better solutions.
The Role
As our Conversion & Experimentation Manager, you’ll become the conversion engine behind some of Zuto’s most important growth initiatives.
You’ll take ownership of understanding how customers behave throughout their journey — identifying where they experience friction, uncovering opportunities to improve conversion and using experimentation to understand what genuinely works.
Combining behavioural insight, analytics, experimentation and AI-powered tooling, you’ll help us make faster, smarter decisions and ultimately help more customers successfully finance their next car through Zuto.
This isn't about running tests for the sake of it. Success is measured by how quickly we learn what works and how effectively those learnings improve customer and commercial outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Conversion Optimisation & Growth
- Owning conversion performance across key customer journeys, identifying opportunities to improve progression, engagement and funded deals.
- Building and maintaining a prioritised optimisation roadmap focused on the opportunities with the greatest customer and commercial impact.
- Identifying and removing friction throughout the customer journey.
- Using continuous optimisation to improve both customer outcomes and business performance.
- Connecting conversion activity directly to measurable commercial results.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

AI Fluency
AI is a genuine part of how this role operates, so we’re looking for someone who is already comfortable using it rather than someone who simply has an interest in it.
