Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a stable, long-term role with excellent shift patterns and strong earning potential?
We're recruiting a Conversion / Slitting Operator to join our finishing team, producing high-quality slit reels in a safe, efficient and well-organised environment.
Staffline is recruiting Conversion/Slitting Operators in Brigg.
The rate of pay is £13.91 per hour (3% increase from July).
Overtime is paid at time and a half, Sundays and bank holidays at double time.
This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off, and the hours of work are:
- Days: 6am to 6pm
- Nights 6pm to 6am
Your Time at Work
As a Conversion / Slitting Operator you will be responsible for:
- Operating conversion machinery to produce finished slit reels to specification
- Selecting film, materials and supplies for each job
- Completing safe, efficient machine set-ups
- Carrying out in-process quality checks
- Unloading, palletising and packaging finished product
- Accurately completing production reports in the Mills system
- Maintaining a clean, safe working area
- Monitoring machine performance and problem-solving issues
- Reporting maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns
- Reworking non-conforming product when required
- Managing waste, skips and general housekeeping
- Updating Daily Management boards
- Following all site safety, environmental and compliance standards
