Conveyancer (In-House)
Sheffield | £35,000–£55,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance
Permanent | Full-time | In-house legal team

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a rapidly expanding residential developer in Sheffield to appoint an experienced Conveyancer to its growing in-house legal team.
This isn't simply a role managing an existing caseload. The business has ambitious, funded growth plans, with plot completions expected to double by 2028. As the business grows, so will the legal function - creating genuine scope to develop your career, broaden your experience and have an impact.

The package
- £35,000–£55,000 salary, depending on experience
- Company car or car allowance

What will you be responsible for?
- You'll take ownership of the legal side of plot sales, part-exchanges and resales, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and reach completion on time.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing a caseload of freehold and leasehold new-build transactions
- Investigating title and raising and responding to legal enquiries
- Preparing reports on title and ensuring contracts, searches and supporting documentation are accurate
- Carrying out due diligence covering titles, planning, covenants and restrictions
- Dealing with local land charges and relevant local authority enquiries
- Completing purchaser due diligence, including AML and source-of-funds checks
- Keeping up to date with relevant conveyancing legislation, ownership schemes and sales incentives
- Managing multiple transactions and competing deadlines without losing attention to detail
- Working closely with internal teams, external solicitors and other stakeholders to keep transactions moving
- Identifying potential legal issues early and providing practical solutions

What are we looking for?
We're open to people who have gained their experience either within a new build/plot sales environment or residential conveyancing practice.
You'll ideally bring:
- 3+ years' relevant conveyancing experience
- Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing and the transaction process
- Experience managing a busy caseload with multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a naturally proactive approach
- The confidence to communicate legal matters clearly to non-legal colleagues
- A commercially minded, practical approach to problem solving
- The ability to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative team
