Conveyancing Fee-Earner

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: Competitive DOE
Benefits: One-off £500 gross bonus for successful direct applicants who complete their probation period.

About the Company

A well-established regional law firm is looking to appoint a Conveyancing Fee-Earner to join its busy Property team in Stratford-upon-Avon. The firm has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services and prides itself on delivering a professional, client-focused service.

You'll join an experienced Property team with strong support in place, including dedicated Paralegal assistance, providing an excellent environment to manage your own caseload while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skills.

Role Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, CILEX, CLC-qualified professional or experienced Conveyancing Executive to join a busy and established Property Department.

You'll take responsibility for a varied residential conveyancing caseload, managing matters from instruction through to completion while working closely with clients, intermediaries and HM Land Registry. The role also provides scope to develop client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full and varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
  • Deal directly with clients, intermediaries and HM Land Registry both in person and by telephone.
  • Ensure files are managed efficiently and in accordance with the firm's standards.
  • Manage client budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high standard of client service.
  • Contribute proactively to personal and firm-wide business development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing competency training, including CQS requirements.
  • Work closely with and report to the Head of Conveyancing.
  • Provide support to colleagues and assist with wider team requirements when necessary.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or CLC professional, or an experienced non-qualified Conveyancing Executive.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
  • Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures and the CQS Protocol.
  • Good understanding of Anti-Money Laundering legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Windows and case management systems.
  • Experience using P4W would be advantageous.
  • Experience working to Lexcel standards would be desirable.
  • Flexibility to work from other offices when required.
