Conveyancer / Fee Earner Birkenhead

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancer / Fee Earner to join an established legal team based in Birkenhead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional who is confident managing their own caseload and taking residential property matters from initial instruction through to completion.

The role would suit someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent client care and enjoys working in a busy, target-driven legal environment.

The Role

As a Conveyancer / Fee Earner, you will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently while keeping clients and other stakeholders fully informed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Handling sales, purchases and other residential property matters
  • Reviewing contracts, title documentation and property information
  • Raising and responding to enquiries
  • Reviewing searches and identifying potential issues
  • Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
  • Preparing and reviewing conveyancing documentation
  • Progressing matters towards exchange and completion
  • Managing completion and post-completion requirements
  • Monitoring key dates, deadlines and outstanding information
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant client files
  • Providing regular updates to clients throughout their transaction
  • Managing a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of service
  • Working towards agreed performance and completion targets
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements

About You

We're looking for an experienced conveyancing professional who can manage matters with a good degree of autonomy and keep transactions moving efficiently.

You should have:

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancer, Conveyancing Fee Earner or similar
  • Strong residential conveyancing experience
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload from instruction through to completion
  • Good knowledge of the residential conveyancing process
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • A proactive approach to progressing files
  • Confidence dealing with clients and professional stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
  • A strong commitment to client service and compliance

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on conveyancer who can hit the ground running, manage their own files and take ownership of transactions.

You'll be confident dealing with clients, resolving issues and working proactively to ensure matters progress to completion within the required timescales.
