Residential Conveyancer

Leicester | Full-Time | Competitive Salary DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established and growing law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services.

Joining a busy and collaborative Residential Property team, you'll work alongside experienced conveyancing professionals, managing and progressing transactions from instruction through to post-completion within a supportive team environment.

The Role

Working as part of an established team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and progressing residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to post-completion.
  • Handling sale enquiries and liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties.
  • Reviewing mortgage offers, searches, and title documentation.
  • Raising enquiries and preparing comprehensive client reports.
  • Liaising with lenders regarding Certificates of Title, mortgage releases, and redemption statements.
  • Preparing exchange and completion documentation, including completion statements, invoices, and undertakings.
  • Managing completions and ensuring all parties are updated throughout the transaction.
  • Drafting and submitting SDLT returns.
  • Dealing with Help to Buy matters where applicable.
  • Completing all post-completion work, including Land Registry applications.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring excellent client service throughout each transaction.

  • Previous experience handling your own residential conveyancing caseload within a law firm or conveyancing practice.
  • Experience dealing with a broad range of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Strong communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach.
