Opportunity: Residential Conveyancer
Location: Frome | Hybrid & Flexible Working
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus
If you're a conveyancer who knows your way around a residential caseload but you're also looking for a team you'll actually enjoy being part of, this one is worth a look!
I'm working with a well-established, independent South West firm that is growing its Residential Property team in Frome. They're open to both qualified and non-qualified candidates so whether you're a Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or an experienced fee earner who hasn't quite taken that final qualification step yet, they're interested in hearing from you.
What matters most is that you've got at least three years' fee-earning residential conveyancing experience and can confidently run your own caseload.
What's The Role Like?
You'll have ownership of your own residential conveyancing files from instruction through to completion - dealing with everything from title checks, contracts and enquiries through to keeping clients, agents and lenders updated.
It's a proper fee-earning role but you're not going to be left to battle through your caseload on your own.
The team is headed up by a hugely experienced residential property lawyer with over 20 years in the area and it's a really collaborative department. People share ideas, help each other out and enjoy seeing their colleagues do well.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
In other words, experienced enough to trust you to get on with it, supportive enough that you can ask a question when you need to.
And if you're not qualified yet? That's absolutely fine. The firm will support you with qualification, accreditations, study and wider professional development so there's a clear opportunity to keep progressing rather than feeling like you've reached the ceiling.
Why This One?
There is a lot to like here:
- Bonus
- Hybrid working
- 28 days' annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days
- Enhanced pension
