Role: Conveyancing Assistant
Location: West Midlands
Job Type: Part-Time (32 Hours per Week over 4 Days)
Working Pattern: Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Salary: GBP 23,500 per annum (32 hours) plus benefits
An established and highly regarded property search provider is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant (Property Searches) to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in residential conveyancing, property searches, or legal support who enjoys working in a detail-focused environment while delivering outstanding service to solicitor clients. Offering a permanent four-day working week together with hybrid working, this role provides genuine flexibility without compromising on career development or earning potential.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced team, the successful candidate will manage property search requests from law firms and conveyancers, ensuring every order is processed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Processing and reviewing incoming property search requests from solicitor clients.
- Advising clients on appropriate search requirements where necessary.
- Using online ordering systems and digital mapping software to identify property boundaries and compile search packs.
- Managing Local Authority, Drainage and Water, Environmental, Chancel, and other property searches.
- Acting as the main point of contact for solicitor clients, providing updates and resolving enquiries.
- Liaising with local authorities and third-party providers to obtain outstanding search information.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately while maintaining exceptional levels of client service.

About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates with previous experience within residential conveyancing or the property search sector. Suitable backgrounds may include: Conveyancing Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal, Property Search Processor, Property Search Administrator, or Sales Progressor within Estate Agency.
The Successful Candidate Will Also Demonstrate
- Previous experience processing property searches or supporting residential conveyancing transactions.
- Confidence using online ordering portals, case management systems, and digital mapping tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret property information accurately.
- Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner and written communication.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with a property search provider such as InfoTrack, SearchFlow, Index PI, or similar.
