Conveyancing Assistant – Blackpool

💰 £23,500 – £27,000 DOE
📍 Blackpool
🕘 Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
📄 Full-time | Permanent | Office-based

We’re working with an established and growing legal practice in Blackpool that is looking to appoint a Conveyancing Assistant to join its friendly residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their skills, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career within a supportive firm.

The Role

You’ll provide day-to-day support to a Solicitor and Partner, assisting with a varied caseload of residential and Buy-to-Let matters from instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting residential and Buy-to-Let conveyancing matters
  • Opening and setting up new files
  • Carrying out property searches and assisting with results
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
  • Assisting with enquiries and progressing transactions
  • Requesting and checking client documentation
  • Assisting with exchange and completion
  • Preparing and checking completion statements
  • Maintaining accurate case management records
  • Monitoring key dates, deadlines and outstanding requirements
  • Providing a high standard of client service
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable, detail-focused and a strong team player, with previous experience within a residential conveyancing environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal or similar
  • Experience handling residential conveyancing matters
  • Ideally, some exposure to Buy-to-Let transactions
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems
  • Strong numerical and accounts skills
  • A professional and client-focused approach

Proclaim experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
