Conveyancing Assistant – Brackley

Workmate Agency are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established law firm based in Brackley, Northamptonshire, for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their Property Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional looking for a full-time, permanent position within a supportive and established legal team.
The Role
Working closely with the Team Manager, you will provide a mixture of legal and administrative support across residential conveyancing matters. You will take responsibility for specific tasks within matters while ensuring files are progressed efficiently and clients receive an excellent level of service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting with the provision of administrative and legal services to clients
- Assisting with residential sale files, including dealing with redemptions and enquiries
- Providing friendly and professional day-to-day contact with clients
- Preparing plain English letters, documents, applications and other forms
- Managing written and telephone correspondence with clients, solicitors and third parties
- Assisting with legal updates to clients under supervision
- Taking notes during client meetings when required
- Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and to deadlines
- Continuing to develop your legal and conveyancing knowledge
- Working as part of a supportive team with mentoring and opportunities for progression

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2 years' residential conveyancing experience
- Good understanding of conveyancing procedures and legal principles
- Experience working on residential sale files
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads
- A flexible, proactive and positive "can-do" attitude
- Confidence working with figures
A Law Degree or property-related qualification is preferred but not essential.
