About us

Howarth & Hollings is an established conveyancing practice based in the centre of Keighley. We have been helping clients with their property transactions since 1988 and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, approachable and highly professional service.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing residential conveyancing experience who wants to become an important part of a busy, supportive and growing practice.

The role

You will work closely with one of our partners and assist with residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.

The role is highly client focused, so we are looking for someone who is confident communicating with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, solicitors and other parties involved in a transaction.

Previous conveyancing experience is essential. Ideally, you will already have a good understanding of both sale and purchase transactions and be comfortable working in a busy conveyancing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening new files and setting up matters on our case management system
  • Preparing and issuing initial client documentation
  • Carrying out routine client and transaction administration
  • Preparing contract documentation on sale transactions
  • Assisting with enquiries and obtaining information and documentation required to respond to enquiries
  • Preparing and sending routine correspondence to clients, solicitors, estate agents, brokers and other third parties
  • Preparing files for exchange of contracts
  • Setting up and assisting with completions
  • Obtaining redemption statements and other completion information
  • Keeping clients and other parties updated throughout transactions
  • Dealing with incoming emails, post and telephone enquiries
  • Updating the case management system as matters progress
  • Assisting with post-completion administration where required
  • Providing general administrative support to the conveyancing team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
