Floating Conveyancing Fee Earner Mansfield, Derby, Chesterfield & Nottingham

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Floating Conveyancing Fee Earner to provide flexible support across established legal teams in Mansfield, Derby, Chesterfield and Nottingham.

The role has been created to provide additional resource when teams need extra support, particularly during annual leave, sickness and periods of increased workload. With the teams continuing to grow, there is also an opportunity to provide additional capacity when required.

This would suit an experienced conveyancer who is confident, adaptable and able to step into different teams and pick up existing caseloads with minimal supervision.

Package

  • Salary: £30,000-£37,000 depending on experience
  • Location: Mansfield, Derby, Chesterfield & Nottingham
  • Flexible working across the four locations depending on business requirements
  • Established and supportive conveyancing teams

The Role

As a Floating Conveyancing Fee Earner, you will provide additional support wherever it is needed across the conveyancing teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing cover for annual leave, sickness and busy periods
  • Picking up and progressing existing residential conveyancing caseloads
  • Managing matters from instruction through to exchange and completion
  • Handling sales, purchases, remortgages and other residential property matters
  • Reviewing contracts, titles and searches, and dealing with enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
  • Keeping matters progressing efficiently and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Providing clear advice and maintaining excellent client service
  • Adapting quickly to different teams, systems and working practices

About You

Formal qualifications are flexible for this position. What matters most is experience, confidence and the ability to work independently.

We're looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years' conveyancing experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing
  • The confidence to manage files with minimal supervision
  • The ability to pick up existing caseloads and get up to speed quickly
  • Strong organisation, communication and client-care skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
  • The ability to work across different teams and locations
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between offices

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be an experienced and capable conveyancing professional who can hit the ground running.

You don't necessarily need to be a solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer. Proven experience and the ability to confidently manage conveyancing matters are more important.

This role would suit an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner, Conveyancer, Senior Conveyancing Assistant or similar property professional who enjoys variety and wants a role where their experience can make a real difference.
