Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary

📍 Norwich, Norfolk
💼 Full-time | Permanent
🕘 Monday to Friday | 9.00am – 5.00pm

We’re working with an established and highly regarded law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Legal Secretary to join their Residential Conveyancing team in Norwich.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in Residential Conveyancing who enjoys working closely with fee earners, clients, and third parties and wants to become an integral part of a friendly and supportive property team.

The Role

Working closely with the Conveyancing team, you’ll provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support, assisting with the preparation and progression of residential property matters and ensuring files are managed accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting fee earners with case preparation and the progression of matters
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing electronic files and maintaining accurate records
  • Audio typing and producing correspondence and documentation
  • Assisting with billing and accounts administration
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other third parties
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries
  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the Conveyancing team
  • Helping to ensure matters progress efficiently and within required timescales

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within Residential Conveyancing – essential
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident managing a varied workload and prioritising effectively
  • An excellent typist with strong IT skills
  • Confident communicating with clients and third parties
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to providing a high level of support and client service
