Job Title: Conveyancing Manager
Location: Solent or Northampton (Office-Based During Probation | Agile Working Available Following Successful Completion of Probation)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

About the Role:
We’re recruiting for a Conveyancing Manager to join a leading UK law firm's residential conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to take ownership of a varied caseload while supporting the wider team to deliver an exceptional client experience.
You'll oversee residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standard. Alongside managing your own caseload, you'll provide guidance and support to paralegals and junior colleagues, helping to maintain quality, consistency and continuous improvement across the team.
This role would suit an experienced Conveyancing Manager, Senior Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer or Residential Conveyancer looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Residential Conveyancing
- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Handle freehold, leasehold, new build and unregistered sale and purchase transactions
- Review and report on title, identifying and escalating technical or risk issues where appropriate
- Manage complex title matters including easements, covenants, restrictions and title defects
- Deliver high-quality legal advice while ensuring transactions progress efficiently

Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise, mentor and support paralegals and junior colleagues
- Assist with file reviews and quality assurance processes
- Promote best practice across the team and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Help ensure service standards, deadlines and team objectives are consistently achieved
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, developers, housebuilders, referrers and work providers
- Manage referrals from key accounts and support long-term client relationships
- Deliver an outstanding level of customer service throughout every transaction
- Liaise confidently with all parties involved to ensure a smooth conveyancing process
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure files comply with legal, regulatory and internal quality requirements
- Support compliance, risk management and quality control processes
- Maintain accurate file management and case records
- Work collaboratively to minimise risk and uphold professional standards
Candidate Profile:
- Strong residential conveyancing experience with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Experience handling freehold, leasehold and new build transactions
- Confident checking and reporting on title
- Experience dealing with complex title issues including easements, restrictions, covenants and defects
- Experience managing high-volume caseloads within a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior team members
- Strong understanding of compliance, file reviews and risk management
- Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and conveyancing/case management systems

Desirable:
- Experience with shared ownership transactions
- Experience handling remortgages and transfers of equity
- Experience managing escalated or technically complex conveyancing matters
