Conveyancing Paralegal – Remote

Busbys Solicitors

Location: Remote / Home Based

Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)

Hours: Full Time

Career Progression: Potential Training Contract opportunity

About the Role

Busbys Solicitors is looking for an ambitious and hardworking Conveyancing Paralegal to join our busy and growing property team.

This is a fully remote role within a fast-paced conveyancing department handling a broad variety of residential property transactions. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes ownership of their work and wants to develop a long-term career within the firm.

For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to progress towards a Training Contract in the future, subject to demonstrating the required ability, performance, and commitment to Busbys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside our conveyancers and solicitors, you will assist with a varied caseload including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • New build transactions
    • Remortgages and transfers of equity
    • Reviewing contracts, title documentation, and property information
    • Ordering and reviewing searches
    • Preparing and issuing contract documentation
    • Raising and responding to enquiries
    • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, and other solicitors
    • Preparing files for exchange and completion
    • Assisting with post-completion matters
    • Keeping clients regularly updated throughout their transaction
    • Maintaining accurate and compliant electronic files
    • Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day progression of matters
    • Managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, organized, and genuinely interested in developing their career in property law.

Ideally, you will have previous experience within a residential conveyancing department, although the level of experience required is flexible for an exceptional candidate.

You should have:

  • Previous conveyancing or property law experience
  • A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively
  • Confidence dealing directly with clients and other professionals
  • A proactive approach to progressing transactions
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining an active member of the wider team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility
  • A genuine desire to learn and progress

Law graduates, LPC/SQE candidates, and candidates looking to build towards qualification are particularly encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate relevant conveyancing experience.
