Conveyancing Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Essex
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join its residential property team in Essex.
This is a great opportunity for someone with existing conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and busy property team.
The Role
Working alongside experienced fee earners, you will assist with a varied residential conveyancing caseload and provide support throughout the transaction process.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with residential sales and purchases
- Supporting fee earners with their caseloads from instruction through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing conveyancing documentation
- Ordering and reviewing property searches
- Raising and responding to enquiries
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
- Assisting with exchange and completion
- Updating clients regularly on the progress of their matters
- Undertaking administrative and file-management duties
- Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

About You
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience within a residential conveyancing environment.
You may currently be working as a:
- Conveyancing Paralegal
- Conveyancing Assistant
- Legal Assistant
- Property Assistant
- Junior Conveyancer
You should ideally have:
- Previous experience supporting residential property transactions
- Good knowledge of the conveyancing process
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing deadlines
- A professional and client-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
