Cafe Cook
As a Cafe Cook, you’ll step into the bustling kitchen to create culinary magic for our customers. You’ll be cooking made-to-order breakfasts, lunches, and snacks while strictly adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety policies. Beyond the stove, your role extends to food preparation, closing down the kitchen, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness. Your culinary skills will play a significant role in defining the culinary identity of The Beacon Cafe.
Cafe Assistant
Joining us as a Cafe Assistant means immersing yourself in the heart of our community hub. Your responsibilities span a wide range, from taking customer orders and serving delicious food and beverages to clearing tables, washing dishes, and actively contributing to the warm and inviting ambiance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our dynamic team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the cafe.
About The Beacon Cafe
The Beacon Cafe is an inclusive community cafe that operates on a unique “Pay-as-you-can” donation basis. Our mission is to tackle food inequality, reduce waste, and combat social isolation. We believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food and the chance to connect with their community, regardless of their financial circumstances. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming space where those who can afford to pay can contribute to something positive, while those facing financial challenges can still enjoy our offerings.
