An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Coordinating Authorised Person to support the delivery of safe systems of work and statutory compliance across a portfolio of highly secure and technically complex sites.

This role is ideal for an experienced Authorised Person who is passionate about health, safety, compliance, and operational excellence. You will provide specialist guidance, support and assurance to site-based Authorised Persons, helping to ensure the consistent application of safe working practices and compliance with JSP 375 requirements.

Working across multiple sites, you will act as a subject matter expert, mentor and technical advisor, supporting operational teams in maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to site Authorised Persons across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate statutory compliance and Safe Systems of Work delivery in accordance with JSP 375 requirements.
  • Monitor, review and report on compliance performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Escalate safety concerns, risks or compliance issues to senior stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Support the planning and delivery of specialist engineering and maintenance activities.
  • Promote best practice and drive continuous improvement across operational teams.
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental procedures are applied consistently and effectively.
  • Work closely with Estates and Facilities teams to maintain asset safety and compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Authorised Person or compliance-focused role.
  • Experience operating within regulated or high-hazard environments.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently across multiple sites while building strong working relationships.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Authorised Person (AP) certification in one or more JSP disciplines, including:
    • Hazardous Areas
    • Mechanical Systems
    • Confined Spaces
    • Petroleum
    • HV or LV Electrical Systems
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
