Coordinating Authorised Person

The Role
As a Coordinating Authorised Person, you will support QinetiQ/MOD sites across a regional area, assisting the Senior Authorised Person, site Authorised Persons, and Estates Delivery teams in ensuring JSP safe systems of work. You will also provide dedicated technical support and guidance to existing site-based Authorised Persons on various JSP375 Ch 5 disciplines, acting as both mentor and subject-matter expert.
Responsibilities
- Embed operational Safe System of Work improvement programmes across locations
- Identify and promote best practice in operations, ensuring consistency
- Oversee site Authorised Persons in planning activities related to specialist disciplines and workplace areas
- Coordinate statutory compliance for JSP 375 SSoW delivery across regional sites by working closely with local Authorised Persons
- Monitor and review JSP compliance performance, tracking trends, and escalating concerns to the Senior Authorised Person
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures across all Authorised Person activities
- Prioritise work and escalate issues to Estates Delivery teams to maintain asset safety and compliance

Essential Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Previous Amounted Person (AP) experience within regulated industries
- A proven track record in Health & Safety compliance
Qualifications:
- Current AP Certificate in one or more JSP discipline(s) (e.g., Hazardous Areas, Mechanical Systems, Confined Spaces, Petroleum, HV/LV Electrical)
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Full clean driving licence
