Join us as a Co-Ordinating Authorised Person, covering multiple QinetiQ/MOD sites across Wales, where you’ll partner with brilliant minds and work with world-leading technology.
As the Co-Ordinating Authorised Person, you’ll support the Senior Authorised Person, site Authorised Persons, and Estates Delivery teams in:
- Delivering JSP safe systems of work (SSoW)
- Ensuring compliance and assurance across regional sites
- Providing dedicated technical support and mentorship to existing site-based Authorised Persons in disciplines governed by JSP375 Chapter 5
Your day-to-day work will focus on embedding operational SSoW improvements, identifying best practices across operations, and driving consistency in approach.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide guidance and assistance to site Authorised Persons in planning specialised JSP375 SSoW activities.
- Coordinate statutory compliance across all regional sites through regular engagements with Authorised Persons.
- Monitor and review compliance performance, track trends, and escalate concerns to the Senior Authorised Person.
- Ensure robust application of health, safety, and environmental regulations for Co-Ordinating Authorised Person activities.
- Prioritise tasks effectively and escalate issues to QinetiQ’s Estates Delivery teams to maintain asset safety and compliance.

Requirements
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Previous electrical experience (preferably hv/lv, hazardous areas, or mechanical systems).
- Strong Health & Safety expertise and proven compliance track record.
Essential Certifications
- A valid AP certifications in one or more JSP disciplines (e.g., HV/LV Electrical, Hazardous Areas, Mechanical Systems, Confined Spaces).
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- A full, clean driving license.
