About The Job

The Coordinator, Celebrity Relations & Brand Advocacy will assist in overseeing Mandarin Oriental’s global celebrity relations and brand advocacy strategy, strengthening the brand’s presence across all major platforms through celebrity activations and influencer/KOL activities, administering best-in-class execution at both the corporate and hotel levels. This role will directly support the Manager, Celebrity & Talent Relations, providing functional support across all hotel-level brand advocacy efforts through proper channels and workflows. The Coordinator, Celebrity Relations & Brand Advocacy will support the execution of strategic actions defined by the business, and will additionally oversee the ongoing needs of the Manager.

As Coordinator, Celebrity Relations & Brand Advocacy, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Celebrity & VIP Relation Coordination

  • Support the planning and execution of celebrity and VIP guest engagement strategies across the global hotel portfolio.
  • Coordinate celebrity stays, hosted experiences, gifting initiatives, and special requests in partnership with corporate and hotel teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of celebrity interactions, preferences, approvals, and partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in identifying talent aligned with Mandarin Oriental's brand positioning and target audiences.
  • Coordinate logistics with talent representatives, agents, managers, and publicists.

Brand Advocacy Efforts

  • Assist in executing brand advocacy programs that strengthen long-term relationships with influential guests and opinion leaders.
  • Support ambassador and partnership campaigns from concept through execution.
  • Help identify opportunities to engage luxury lifestyle influencers, creators, and cultural opinion leaders.
  • Track campaign deliverables and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Performance & Programme Optimisation

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of celebrity and creator partnerships through social media performance, PR coverage, brand visibility and commercial impact.
  • Develop reporting frameworks that measure programme performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor external activity involving Mandarin Oriental Fans and creators, identifying reputational risks or opportunities and escalating where appropriate.
  • Analyse industry trends, competitor activity and emerging cultural movements to inform future advocacy opportunities.

Activation Coordination

  • Coordinate timelines, assets, approvals, and communications for celebrity and advocacy campaigns in tandem with the Social Media & Activations team.
  • Assist with campaign reporting, including media coverage, social performance, and ROI metrics.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain talent databases and contact lists.
  • Prepare briefing documents, itineraries, presentations, and post-event reports.
  • Coordinate and track invoices, bookings, and other logistics.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and event details when required.
  • Support the broader teams (e.g. Social Media & Activations, Media Planning & Strategy, Trade Marketing & Events) as required by the Chief Brand & Marketing Officer and the VP, Marketing with administrative duties and other tasks as required

As Coordinator, Celebrity Relations & Brand Advocacy, we expect from you:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, luxury retail, public relations, brand marketing, guest relations, reservations, events, lifestyle, or a related customer-facing environment.
  • A genuine passion for luxury hospitality, travel, culture, entertainment, celebrity relations, and social media.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standards.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal stakeholders, hotels, agencies, talent representatives, and VIP guests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative capabilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience coordinating events, campaigns, guest experiences, or partnerships would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of influencer marketing, social media platforms, celebrity engagement, and the evolving creator landscape is desirable.
  • The ability to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information relating to celebrities, VIPs, and commercial partnerships.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support projects across multiple marketing disciplines when required.
