Department Overview

The marketing department is responsible for creating best-in-class marketing campaigns that maintain and grow our customer base. Increasing brand awareness to acquire new customers and engaging our existing customer base to increase LTV, our award-winning marketing department consists of four teams: brand marketing, brand partnership marketing, content and advertising.

Role Overview

The Copy & Editorial Manager FTC reports into the Head of Content, working closely with Content Marketing team and the wider Marketing department.

Working closely with our SEO Project Manager, the role is responsible for overseeing the planning and production of high quality written and video content across the Space NK Youtube channel, the blog and other areas of the website to support our organic search strategy.

The role is also responsible for leading and developing Space NK’s brand voice while overseeing and creating innovative copy for a range of digital, print and in-store communications.

The role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workload and development of three Copy & Editorial Coordinators, a Copy & Editorial Assistant and a Youtube Production Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and maintain Space NK’s tone of voice ensuring adoption across internal and external communications, evolving and developing brand voice
  • Take briefs from across the business to create on-brand messages across all communication channels
  • Deliver compelling creative copy that brings Space NK to life including taglines for key commercial campaigns and moments
  • Write, edit and proof content across a variety of communications from stores to digital ensuring accuracy, consistency and innovation
  • Manage and oversee Youtube and the blog, including content calendars and channel content output, ensuring topics are rooted in search data and content is optimised for maximum visibility on Youtube and Google respectively
  • Work closely with the SEO Project Manager and SEO agency to ensure content plans, projects and outputs are driven by search insights and contributing to the delivery of our SEO traffic targets
  • Write, edit and oversee the production of printed collateral, including gift guides, required for the marketing team
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Space NK are at the forefront of innovation
  • Oversee development of a team of five

About You:

You are a creative and organised person with a real passion for marketing. You are excited by the opportunity to shape Space NK’s brand voice while being part of creating high quality content and bring a customer first approach to your work.

What we're looking for:

  • Fluent in English language with impeccable grammar and spelling
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • A solid understanding of SEO
  • Proactive and detail-orientated
  • Experience copywriting in a retail/luxury/beauty environment
  • Possess and develop a strong understanding and knowledge of the wider beauty industry
  • Previous line management experience
  • Innovative approach to creative communications
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively at senior management level
