People Experience Specialist

As a People Experience Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting line managers with all aspects of the team member lifecycle, encompassing absence management, performance, grievance resolutions, and disciplinary procedures. Your expertise and guidance will enable line managers to make informed decisions and foster a positive, productive work environment. By ensuring that our leaders are equipped to handle these critical areas competently and compassionately, you will help instil happiness and well-being into the lives of our team members. Your enthusiasm will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to doing the right thing for our people.

Qualifications

As People Experience Specialist, you will…

  • Support line managers with absence management, performance, grievance resolutions, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Foster open and transparent communication between line managers and their team members.
  • Enhance team member morale and commitment through positive workplace relations.
  • Implement effective strategies to resolve conflicts amicably and maintain harmony in the workplace.
  • Ensure adherence to policy and employment law, avoiding legal issues.

What You’ll Bring…

  • Qualified or actively studying towards CIPD Level 3, although not essential as training can be provided.
  • Experience in the Retail or Hospitality sectors and a good understanding of employee relations.
  • Knowledge of people practices, policies, and processes, including grievance, AWOL, absence, payroll, HR compliance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations, including conflict resolution experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to analyse and find effective solutions.
