Job Overview
We are delighted to welcome applications for a Core Clinical Fellow in Urology based at Wexham Park Hospital. This role is ideal for doctors at Resident Doctor (formally known as SHO) level (FY2/ST1–2 or equivalent), particularly those looking to undertake a rewarding and well-supported F3 year.
You will join a friendly, forward-thinking Urology team in a busy and well-established hospital, gaining exposure to a broad range of acute and elective urological care while developing your clinical confidence in a supportive environment.
As a resident doctor within the team, you will be actively involved in ward care, acute admissions, outpatient activity, and the on-call rota, with excellent opportunities to attend theatre and build procedural skills.
The department is committed to education and development, offering strong senior support, access to teaching, and opportunities to get involved in audit and quality improvement work. Main duties of the job
The Trust Doctor post at Wexham Park Hospital will provide experience of emergency and elective urology care with on-calls in Urology and General Surgery. The post will be supervised with opportunities to develop clinical and surgical skills, while improving experience of teaching, quality improvement, research, and leadership.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

The Post Will Involve
- Working with the consultant and registrar to review and treat Urology inpatients at Wexham Park Hospital.
- Opportunities to attend clinics, diagnostic lists (flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and urodynamics) and theatre lists.
- An average 1:7 full shift rota covering urology and general surgery.
- Work under consultant supervision, with an educational development plan to improve knowledge, clinical skills, teaching, and quality improvement experience.
Please Note
- There is No Banding supplement for this role.
- For the unsocial hours that you work, you will be paid according to the rota and the generic work schedule.
