Hiring: Core Python Developer | Contract

Location: Northampton, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
Job Type: Contract

We are looking for an experienced Core Python Developer with strong expertise in Python development, data processing, file handling, and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python libraries, testing frameworks, and data transformation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts for data processing and transformation.
  • Use Pandas and NumPy extensively for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Handle structured and unstructured data formats including CSV, JSON, XML, and APIs.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and development teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Perform unit testing and regression testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Translate analytical and business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and workflows.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks or similar data science environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience using Git and SonarQube.
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and JIRA.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
