Openings: 2 Location: UK / India – Remote or Hybrid Experience: 10+ years Contract: Initial 6 months, extension possible Programme: Technology Separation / Corporate Divestiture
We are seeking an experienced Core Routing Network Engineer with strong NetDevOps capabilities to support a major technology separation and corporate divestiture programme.
The engineer will design, build, migrate, and separate Layer 3 core network services across WAN, Point of Presence, and data centre environments. The role also involves removing legacy routing configurations from divested infrastructure and delivering network changes through automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build WAN and Point of Presence infrastructure
- Configure internet-edge connectivity, Palo Alto integrations and Zscaler GRE tunnels
- Implement VRF-lite and MP-BGP for network and tenant separation
- Configure BGP, OSPF and IS-IS routing environments
- Deploy and support Cisco Nexus NX-OS spine-and-leaf infrastructure
- Configure Cisco Catalyst 9000 switches
- Establish Layer 3 peering, pseudowires and data centre interconnects
- Remove legacy VRFs, routing, links and configurations safely
- Execute network changes through GitHub-driven CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and troubleshoot Python and Terraform automation
- Work with YAML, JSON and Jinja2 configuration templates
- Support multicast, IPAM, DNS, DHCP and NTP services

Mandatory Skills
- 10+ years of network engineering experience
- Advanced hands-on experience with BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF and VRFs
- Cisco Nexus NX-OS and Catalyst 9000 experience
- WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN and Point-to-Point connectivity
- Python and Terraform network automation
- Git/GitHub and CI/CD workflows
- Palo Alto and Zscaler integration experience
- Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting skills

Desirable Skills
- CCNP or CCIE certification
- Multicast experience, including PIM-SM and RP/BSR
- Nautobot, NetBox or another IPAM/DCIM platform
- Experience with Batfish
- Previous corporate divestiture, merger or network-separation experience
