We are:

- Engaged – We operate as one, building strong relationships

About the role
As Strategic Account Director, you will own, retain and grow a portfolio of Node4’s largest, most strategically important accounts. You will act as the trusted senior advisor to those clients, driving Microsoft-led transformational services while protecting and expanding revenue across an established managed services and infrastructure base.
Reporting to the Vice President – Corporate Accounts, this is a senior client-facing role with ownership of the account P&L, the client relationship and the long-term account strategy. You will orchestrate Node4’s technical, commercial and delivery teams to deliver measurable client outcomes and a genuine long-term partnership.
The remit has two equally important halves. The first is to protect the core: safeguarding and renewing the existing managed services and infrastructure estate so that the service these clients buy from Node4 remains strong and referenceable. The second is to move each account up the value curve — shaping and closing transformational opportunities across AI business processes, Data, Dynamics Business Applications, Azure, modern work and security — converting an infrastructure relationship into a broader transformation partnership.
Responsibilities
Strategic Account Ownership
- Lead the health, retention and growth of a small number of Node4’s largest accounts, owning the account P&L, the relationship and the long-term strategy
- Build and maintain multi-year account plans for every account in the portfolio, with clear ownership of client outcomes
- Safeguard and renew existing managed services and infrastructure revenue, ensuring strong renewals and continued client value
- Act as the voice of the client internally, ensuring Node4 remains aligned to the client’s agenda

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
