Corporate Accountant - Hospitality & Leisure - £60,000 – London (5 days in office)
We're recruiting for a leading international hotel group for a broad Corporate Accountant role combining financial accounting with UK corporation tax and tax accounting.
You'll take ownership across journals, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting and audit support, alongside UK tax compliance, working closely with senior finance stakeholders and external advisors.
It's a great opportunity for a Corporate or Financial Accountant looking to broaden their skill set in-house, gain senior stakeholder exposure and take on more complex accounting and tax responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journals across tax and corporate accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including current tax, deferred tax and other corporate accounting balances.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including tax provisions and supporting schedules.
- Support statutory accounts and year-end and half-year audits, acting as a key point of contact for auditors.
- Prepare UK corporation tax computations, including supporting schedules and adjustments from statutory accounts.
- Support quarterly instalment payments, cash tax forecasting and responses to HMRC queries and information requests.
- Work closely with the wider Finance team and senior stakeholders to ensure accounting and tax requirements are accurately reflected in reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and documentation and contribute to wider finance transformation initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
